Cermignano is a communal capital lying within the province of Teramo. It can be found about 21 kilometers far from the city of Teramo. The town has a population of just under two thousand inhabitants and an area of about 26 square miles. The population density is approximately 75 thousand inhabitants per square kilometer. It rises 563 metres above the sea level. The local people refer to themselves as Cermignesi.
The territory of the municipality lies between 95 and 749 metres above sea level. There are about 30 industrial firms in the town these employing 70 people.
There is a famous fortification located adjacent to Cermignano in a location called Torre di Montegualtieri. The tower is quite famous for the fact that has only three sides.
From a culinary standpoint Cermignano is perhaps most famous as being the home of the world renown agriturismo Di Martino. Each year hungry diners come from all over Abruzzo and beyond to taste the delights available at this exquisite dining establishment.
